*Polished concrete and grind & seal performance depends on the selected finish and sealer system. Resin-system performance varies with system build, substrate condition and topcoat.
Poor surface preparation is the most common cause of coating failure. That's why we diamond grind, repair and thoroughly vacuum the concrete before coating.
Remove contamination and weak surface material while creating a mechanical profile for adhesion.
Cracks, joints and spalls are repaired, commonly with fast-cure low-viscosity polyurea repair resin.
Repairs are mechanically ground smooth rather than left proud of the slab.
Dust is removed from the surface and open concrete pores before resin is applied.
An epoxy moisture barrier can be incorporated where slab moisture risk requires it.
Some garage floors need reshaping or correction before the final flooring system can be installed. We can assess and carry out the extra work as part of the overall floor preparation.

These are the practical questions that usually affect system choice, price and installation time.
Indicative coating prices start from about $40/m² + GST for Tuff Floor epoxy, $55/m² + GST for Sparta-Guard and $85/m² + GST for Sparta-Flake. Standard preparation is typically from $20/m² + GST. Polished concrete and grind & seal start from about $70/m² + GST. Floor condition, repairs, moisture treatment and job size affect the final quote, and small jobs carry a minimum charge.
It depends on the system and the slab. Fast-curing polyaspartic systems can be completed quickly on suitable floors, while moisture barriers, extensive repairs, coating removal, epoxy builds and polished concrete can add time.
With our Sparta-Guard and Sparta-Flake polyaspartic systems, light foot traffic is normally okay after around four hours. Vehicle traffic is typically around 24 hours after completion, depending on temperature and site conditions. Epoxy and polished systems may require longer, so we confirm the return-to-service time for each job.
A properly prepared and specified polyaspartic garage floor is designed to resist hot-tyre pickup. Epoxy performance varies with system build, preparation and topcoat.
Where slab conditions indicate moisture risk, an epoxy moisture barrier can be incorporated before the decorative or performance coating. Moisture treatment normally adds time and cost to the installation.
We do not rely on weak or poorly bonded old coatings. Existing paint, epoxy, glue or contamination is assessed and mechanically removed where required before the new system is installed.
